FAQ

Questions, answered.

Is NurseLingo free?

Yes — free to download and genuinely usable free: three starter decks, the lock-screen widget, the sticky note, flashcards, and Quick Review cost nothing. Premium unlocks the full deck library (NCLEX Lab Values, Pharmacology, the emergency-scenario decks, and more) plus unlimited custom-term priority. Premium is $4.99/month or $39.99/year with a 3-day free trial, or $59.99 once for lifetime access.

Does the lock-screen widget work on my iPhone?

NurseLingo requires iOS 17 or later — that covers iPhone XS and newer. Add the widget by long-pressing your lock screen, tapping Customize, and selecting NurseLingo in the widget area under the clock. Setup takes about 20 seconds.

Who writes the content?

Every term is written and spot-checked by a licensed RN who passed the NCLEX in 85 questions. Decks are organized by nursing course: Health Assessment, Med-Surg, OB & Peds, Mental Health, Pharmacology, NCLEX Lab Values, and more.

Is this enough to pass the NCLEX on its own?

No — and we won't pretend otherwise. NurseLingo builds the vocabulary and lab-value recall layer that question banks assume you already have. Pair it with a question bank and your program's coursework.

How is this different from flashcard apps?

Flashcard apps require you to open them. NurseLingo's rotation happens on your lock screen, so review occurs during the 100+ glances at your phone you already make every day — no session to start, no streak to maintain.

Will there be an Android version?

NurseLingo is iPhone-first. Android is on the roadmap — email us via the support page and we'll notify you when it ships.

Make every glance count.

Add the widget once. From then on, checking your phone is studying.
