NurseLingo Terms of Use
Effective date: August 12, 2026
The short version
NurseLingo is a study aid for nursing vocabulary. It is not medical advice. Premium is an optional subscription that renews until you cancel, and you cancel it in the App Store or Google Play, not here.
Educational use only
- NurseLingo is a vocabulary and study reference for nursing students and nurses.
- It does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment, and it is not a clinical decision tool.
- Always follow your institution's protocols, your instructors, and current clinical references. Never rely on NurseLingo for patient care decisions.
- Content is reviewed for accuracy but may contain errors and may become out of date. Verify anything you plan to act on.
Your licence
You get a personal, non-transferable licence to use NurseLingo on devices you control. You may not resell the app or redistribute its bundled content as your own.
Content you create and share
- Terms and decks you add are yours. They are stored on your device.
- Deck sharing sends a file directly from you to whoever you send it to. There is no NurseLingo server, no account, and no library of user content. We never see what you share.
- You are responsible for having the right to share anything you send, and for what you import from other people.
- The sender name shown on a shared deck is typed by the sender and is not verified by us.
NurseLingo Premium
- The free version rotates a starter set of decks and stays usable indefinitely. Premium unlocks the full library plus flashcard mode, bulk import, and deck sharing.
- Premium is offered as an auto-renewing subscription (annual or monthly) and as a one-time lifetime purchase.
- Auto-renewal: subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the period ends. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours of the period ending.
- Free trial: where a free trial is offered, any unused portion is forfeited if you buy a subscription before the trial ends.
- Managing and cancelling: manage or cancel in your Google Play account settings (Android) or your Apple ID subscription settings (iOS). Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
- Payment and refunds: payment is charged by Google Play or the App Store, not by us. Refunds are handled under their policies. We never see your payment details.
- Prices may change. A price change to an existing subscription takes effect only after the store notifies you and, where required, you accept it.
What powers the app
NurseLingo bundles its content in the app and works offline. The only external service it talks to is the app store's billing system (Google Play Billing on Android, StoreKit on iOS) when you make or restore a purchase, and that happens on the store's side. There is no analytics, advertising, attribution, or crash-reporting service in the app. See the Privacy Policy.
No warranty
NurseLingo is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error free, or that its content is complete or current.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of NurseLingo, including any clinical, academic, or examination outcome. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Changes
If these terms change, the updated version is posted at this URL with a new effective date. Continuing to use the app means you accept the update.
